PROJECT 1C | MODEL MAKING
Through this last part of the project, we were then required to investigate and formulate our findings into a set of 5 models (6x6x6 cm), in corresponding to the architectural elements applied in Villa Busk. The models should be precise and informative to express the analysis of the ideas hidden in Villa Busk.
After been through several tutorial sessions with Mr. Edward, I learnt a lot differently, and really appreciate them . Different ways of thinking and problem solving skills have been instilled into us, in terms of architectural, abstracting ideas rather than literally portration, thinking out-of-the-box, creating things standing out and about good workmanship. Things and knowledges out-of-textbooks have been widely brought up by Mr. Edward, providing us a wider eye-sight and learning things through literature and practical work-out.
As commented by our marker of this project, Mr. Lim Hwa Hong, also one of our lecturers, "I really appreciate the efforts and hardworks you guys putting into the model making and the creative idea extraction." He suggested us to go through more readings about the architect, Sverre Fehn, to understand thoroughly about his architectural style. Another well lesson learnt from Mr. Hong - "Agree with the statements , but not compromise all the time." We could have our own views and comments through our understanding, make use of them but not follow them blindly, I guess this is what pretty much he is trying to teach us.
